Job Description

Executive Sous Chef- Senior Living Metro Detroit  


Our client, a luxury Senior Living Community, offers its residents upscale restaurant cuisine, special catering, theme events and social activities.  The menu selections are all prepared from scratch, and service in the dining room is handled by wait staff. Searching for a Chef who enjoys creativity, has worked in Senior Living, Health Care, Country Clubs, or Hotels.  The position offers a great work/life balance --5 day work week, 50 hour week, no late night hours!  Excellent benefit and salary package.


Ideal candidates will have:

  • Culinary Degree from CIA, Schoolcraft, Johnson & Wales, or similar level culinary school
  • High-volume, scratch Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef experience
  • Expertise in ordering, inventory management, labor management, and scheduling
  • Background in menu development and menu costing
  • Experience creating and managing the back of house budget
  • ServSafe Certification
