We are proud to announce that our High Volume Automotive Group is looking for an experienced, results- focused Automotive Service Dispatcher for our Chevrolet dealership. This opportunity has great potential for advancement in the future for the right person. You will be responsible for dispatching work for technicians as they receive service calls and maintaining daily schedules for these technicians.

Job Description:

  • Schedule shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy.
  • Assign work to the correct technician level
  • Ensure that technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures
  • Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Review hard copies turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been completed properly
  • Ensure technicians complete the multi-point vehicle inspection forms
  • Ensure each warranty RO has a vehicle history attached
  • Complete a dispatch log daily and turn into Service Management at end of shift
  • Maintain a record of carryover vehicles
  • Coordinate parts requirements with the Parts Department
  • Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion
  • Maintain proper training in the operation of service equipment (i.e. lifts and hoists)
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
  • Ensure that all repair orders are accounted for and closed when work is completed
  • Other duties as required
  • Automotive Service Dispatcher or Automotive Technician Level 2 Experience Required!
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence
