Job Description

As one of the largest pro-life organizations in the country, Human Coalition is made up of data scientists, marketers, compassionate medical professionals, caregivers, and former business executives united around the mission of rescuing children and serving families. 
We are searching for a Human Resources/Payroll Administrator to join our growing and fast-paced Plano, TX office.  This person will be responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing as well as assisting with recruitment, benefits, training and other human resources activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Payroll
  • Manage and maintain confidential information and files
  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for 100+ employees using the Paychex system
  • Review timesheets for accuracy including PTO and holiday records
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail, maintaining and following standard operating procedures
  • Maintain thorough, compliant, and complete payroll related documents as required by law
  • Maintain Federal, State and Local withholding and unemployment tax deductions
  • Review and confirm monthly and quarterly remittances to tax authorities
  • Ensure appropriate deductions for benefit plans
  • Assist with payroll and labor reporting and related accounting activities
Human Resources
  • Coordinate with HR to onboard employees to benefit plan offerings including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and supplemental benefits
  • Notify employees of eligibility of benefits, process new employee enrollments, process annual open enrollment
  • Meet information requirements and coordinate with third-party benefit plan partners
  • Respond to unemployment claims and verification of employment requests
  • Assist with screening applicants, checking references, scheduling interviews, and performing background checks
  • Administer training courses through the Cornerstone LMS
  • Utilize metrics to measure the effectiveness of courses and learning programs
  • Assist with departmental reporting activities
  • Provide additional administrative support as needed
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passionately aligned with the mission and vision of Human Coalition
  • 2+ years of experience processing payroll in a corporate environment
  • Multi-state experience in the Paychex platform a plus
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System
  • Significant experience in an office environment where timeliness and accuracy are critical
  • Ability to execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Self-motivated, deadline oriented, and proactive
  • Analytical abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Able and willing to continue professional development
