Job Description

Lead Mechanical Engineer
We are working with a leading Tier 1 Manufacturing Supplier in the Nashville, TN area that is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to manage several engineering projects and production operations at their facility. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will have a hands-on role when it comes to new product launches and process improvements by ensure that company and customer quality standards are met while mentoring engineers and technicians regarding safety, performance, and general housekeeping standards. We are looking for someone with experience troubleshooting production manufacturing issues and is able to encourage and mentor those around them in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Requirements

We are very interested in talking to individuals with the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical degree
  • 5+ years in a Mechanical/Project Engineer, Industrial Engineer, and/or Manufacturing Engineer position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier for the automotive industry is a big plus!
  • Able to manage engineering projects, new product launches, and process improvement for production operations
  • Experience providing technical/engineering leadership or supervision to engineers and technicians
  • Knowledge of or certification in Six Sigma is a big plus!
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); AutoCAD/Inventor experience is preferred
