The HR Manager will oversee HR administration and the day-to-day operations of the business. Willingness to work hard and diligently is a must. The right candidate should be able to handle confidential information in the most professional manner and at the same time maintain loyalty in all situations. This position will expose the individual to all facets of HR administration. History of Trucking Industry is a Plus.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage HR staff to get maximum productivity from team.
- Work with Senior Management to create, implement, and manage all HR policies and procedures company wide.
- Work in conjunction with all managers and supervisors to ensure all policies are being followed.
- Assist in the HR activities – recruitment, on-boarding, immigration, payroll, employee records keeping, benefits administration, etc.
- Assist in the hiring process (interviews, background and reference checks, etc.)
- Facilitate new hire orientations and completion of paperwork
- Answer HR questions related to benefits, vacation, payroll, etc.
- Create & maintain employment files
- Reporting including but not limited to headcount, turnover, annual pay & performance review process
- Completing employment verifications
- Handle all employee terminations, Exit Interviews and all necessary termination paperwork + other HR functions as directed
- 2 – 5 year experience in management role
- 2-5 years of Human Resources background, preferably in Trucking Industry
- 2 years experience with ADP
