Job Description

SURGE is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a company in Opelika, AL. Position is full-time, temporary

Job Duties of the Administrative Assistant Include:

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Plan meetings and take details minutes
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence, memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
  • Maintain contact list
  • Book travel arrangements
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports
  • Provide general support to visitors and act as a point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications for the Administrative Assistant Position:

  • 1-2 years proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, virtual assistant or office admin assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment: printers, fax machines, scanners
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task
  • Great attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent write and verbal communication skils
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • High School Diploma or GED
