Administrative/ Accounting Assistant

Compensation : $15/ hour DOE with potential increase after 90 days of employment

Location: Charlotte, NC

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm with an hour for lunch

Summary

The Admin & Accounting Assistant will handle routine and advanced duties for other professionals within the company. This may include, but is not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as an initial point of contact for the company, answering phones and greeting visitors

Organize and file documents, create correspondence, manage calendars to schedule appointments, sort and distribute mail

Data entry to include sales orders and quotes

Prepare invoices (Accounts Receivable & Payable)

Assist Accounting Supervisor with creating and editing financial documents

Track and organize expenses for the company

Offer general staff support as needed

Minimum Requirements

HS Diploma required

Some experience a plus/ willing to train the right candidate

Pre-employment background check and drug screening contingent with offer of employment

General info about the company and position:

Client is small (less than 50 employees on-site), family-owned and operated

Supplier of specialty materials for many Fortune 500 businesses

In business in the Charlotte area for over 45 years

Office attire is business casual, closed-toe shoes required

No weekends – you work M-F and have your weekends off

Mandatory OT hours are few and far between

Candidate must be ok with heavy filing, “old-school” style with paper ;)

You are the first impression most people get of the company, so a great attitude with a pleasant speaking voice is a must-have
