Director, Supply Chain

Summary of Responsibilities:

Establish Supply Chain Strategy for CPS division and that are with adaptation applicable to FSC and CPT

With Finance, Operations and Senior leadership establish and maintain appropriate inventory targets

Lead implementation of S&OP.

Lead monthly S&OP process

Provide work direction to Supply Chain team to establish and execute plans to implement Supply Chain Strategy

Set standard business processes for purchasing, supply management, supplier quality assurance, logistics and production planning

Establish commodity contracting thru standard supplier agreements based on Q, C, D (Quality, Cost and Delivery)

Maintain Material and Purchased components stock levels to meet production and distribution requirements while maintaining inventory at target levels

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

Lead cross-functional team to manage demand to supply methodology and then migrate to fully implemented S&OP process

Maintain inventory levels by Product Line, Distribution site and in Total at targeted levels

Lead Demand / Supply monthly review

Convert demand forecast into a supply plan to meet customer orders and Distribution requirements on time and within inventory targets level

Implement S&OP process and conduct monthly S&OP meetings with Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations Management to convert Demand to Supply that meet financial targets.

Develop and present consensus S&OP plan to Company Leadership- MBR

Establish and maintain safety stocks and material min/max quantities

Maintain shop production orders to meet customer order commitments with best productivity

Develop and implement a cycle count program that drives integrity in the perpetual inventory records

Remain current and inform senior management of significant changes in Supply and Costs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct supervision of:

Manager of Demand & Production Planning

Buyer/Planners x 6

Indirect supervision thru Manager of Demand & Production Planning:

Production Planner x 2

Matrixed management of FSC Purchasing Manager (matrixed with FSC President) to leverage best SC practices

Qualification Requirements:

Proven Supply Chain management leadership in a manufacturing organization

Prior implementation and use of S&OP process

Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-functional team leadership capabilities required.

Education and/or Experience:

MBA or other Advanced Degree and 5 to 8 years direct Supply Chain experience; including in Supply and Demand Planning, Procurement and Logistics; alternatively BA in related area and 10+ years experience in all aspects of Supply Chain operations

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Reasoning Ability:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None required.

Hazardous material certification preferred

Other Skills and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Able to work effectively within and lead in a team environment
