Peyton Resource Group is seeking a Corporate Paralegal with strong preparation, filing, and maintaining of applications, licenses, registrations, certificates of authority, and other related documents with state insurance departments and other regulatory authorities. The Paralegal must have strong contract review experience and catch areas of concerns, prior to corporate attorney reviews.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Obtain and maintain all licenses, registrations, and certificates of authority that are necessary for the company to carry out its business activities and to fully comply with all applicable federal and state statutes, regulations, and rules.
  • Review, draft, prepare, negotiate, and advise internal clients with respect to a broad array of commercial contracts and other transactional documents.
  • Organize and maintain corporate legal files and contracts databases.
  • Receive, review, and organize incoming requests for legal review of contracts and other legal documents.
  • Manage the execution, distribution, and filing processes with respect to contracts and other legal documents.
  • Assist with the maintenance of contract templates, including creating and updating contract templates and maintaining a database for such contract templates.


  • Paralegal certificate, or combination of a paralegal certificate and relevant work experience, are required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a paralegal capacity; in-house corporate paralegal experience preferred
  • Regulatory compliance experience strongly preferred


  • Excellent research and organizational skills and superb oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, analytical, and organized.
  • Strong legal and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently.
  • Must proactively identify problems, find solutions, and make sound decisions.
  • Good judgment and the ability to make decisions that balance the priorities of the business with legal/compliance concerns.
  • Proven ability to handle challenging situations and resolve issues creatively and effectively.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly with minimal training and to contribute immediately in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible mindset; willingness to adapt to change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact, communicate, and work effectively, collaboratively, and professionally with others inside and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely and effective manner with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Possesses a high level of professionalism, integrity, reliability, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to translate complex business and legal concepts into clear, concise, and compelling plain English.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for what you do, and a good sense of humor.
