Customer Service Representative - Healthcare

IDR is seeking experienced Customer Service/Call Center Representatives to join our client's team in Aurora. This a Fortune 200 healthcare organization with training, benefits, and long-term career growth and opportunities. Your day-to-day will include answering incoming calls from insurance members and scheduling them with doctor's appointments, as well as answering basic coverage questions.

Title: Customer Service Representative – Advice & Appointment Center

Location: Southeast Aurora

Length: 12-month contract, able to extend or convert to permanent

Start Date: August 12th

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Tentative Shifts: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:45pm, OR 9:15am-6:00pm, with possibility of one weekend shift. 40 hours per week.

Job Description:

  • Answering calls from patients to help direct them to medical professionals
  • Assist in scheduling routine and urgent medical appointments for callers
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate party
  • Provide accurate information and excellent customer service to all callers
  • Explain basics of benefits and coverage
  • Asses caller situation and advice on patient next steps
  • Perform other basic medical receptionist duties within a call center environment
  • 3 weeks of paid classroom-style training provided
  • Casual dress code

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of call center experience
  • Previous healthcare industry experience
  • Reliable and on-time for each shift
  • Ability to handle customer requests with courtesy and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Bilingual a plus!
