Description:

IT Solution Architect - Workday Benefits

  • Overall 7-8 years of experience and 4-5 years of Workday experience.

  • Conduct working sessions with business users to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements for Benefits and related processes.

  • Design and implement requirements in the Workday Benefits solution.

  • Workday Benefits Knowledge with Open Enrollment is required for the role.

  • Should have strong experience working on Workday Benefits module and should have worked with vendors like Cigna, VSP, Hartford etc.

  • Workday Benefits certification is required.

  • Experience in Canada benefits will be preferred.

  • Configure the core components of Workday Benefits, such as providers and coverage types. Define and configure benefit groups, eligibility criteria, benefit plans and various rules and rate calculations.

  • Configure and execute common enrollment event types.

  • •Strong HCM Core and Security knowledge is needed for the position.

  • Facilitate cross-functional solutions across HR, Payroll and HCM domains

  • Demonstrate the configurations through the iterative development of prototypes

  • Provide subject matter expertise on key business process decisions related to industry and/or functional areas

  • Analyze business process to identify and propose new business process or program changes to address business specific requirements and provide continuous improvement.

  • Support functional aspect of integration by collaborating with vendors and business users.

  • Manage and deliver projects as assigned.

  • Responsible for ongoing support, maintenance and updates to Workday upgrades.

  • Setup the data for testing in each module and conducted test in different cycles.

  • Served as liaison to business including super users and process area sponsors.

  • Support Benefits integrations and help in resolving enrollment related issues by co-ordination with business users and vendors.

  • Identify and resolve data issues

  • Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet functional requirements.

  • Configure and test HCM Core, Benefits and other related configuration deliverables.

  • Support the HCM, Benefits, Talent and Performance Management work streams and driving towards decisions and recommending best practices related to Workday functionality.


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead Workday SME in the team

  • Strong skills to work with onshore/off shore team model.

  • Should also have M&A experience.

  • Escalation point for workday issues for Benefits.

  • HCM Core, Security knowledge is also a key for the role.

  • Payroll knowledge will be a big bonus for the role.

  • Workday Recruiting, Compensation, Time and Absence knowledge will be a good to have skills.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA's):

  • MUST be certified, with 5-7-year Workday experience in HCM and Benefits.

  • Agile and Waterfall delivery experience will be preferred.

  • Must have experience with midsize to large company HRIS system management, pharma preferred but not mandatory

  • Must have strong English communications skills and business acumen to work with our partners in HR

  • Contributes to an IT project during the weeks where the following SDLC activities and/or events are taking place.
