Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing applications for consumer, real estate, credit card, and overdraft account loans.Handle loan requests in person, over the phone and via tickets in MRP. Explain Carolinas Telco FCU Consumer and Real Estate loan products and policies.Assembles and evaluates loan applications and approves those that meet initial lending criteria and are within approval authority. Presents loan requests above approval authority as per loan policy. Ensures members and prospective members are promptly and professionally served. Provides general credit union information and cross-sells services.

Member Service Representative/Loan Processing
Business degree or one to two years of equivalent experience.
Knowledge of credit union loan services, policies, and procedures.
Must have NMLS # or the ability to be licensed through the NMLS Registry
in compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act.
Thorough understanding of related legal and regulatory standards,
and required loan documentation
Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices
One to two years of lending experience
Ability to excel in a Sales and Service Team environment
Excellent interviewing, communication, and public relations skills.
Professional appearance and attitude
Strong analytical and financial skills
Ability to operate related computer applications, and other business equipment including calculators, printer, telephone, and notary stamps
