The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working at a law firm and/or an in-house corporate legal department handling legal issues in one or more of the following areas: hospitality, contracts, real estate, corporate governance, franchise sales, mergers and acquisitions.
Paralegal Certification from an ABA approved program or other appropriate paralegal training or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience working as a paralegal in a corporate in-house and/or law firm environment.
Experience with responsibilities described above.
College Degree is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office applications.
Proficient in legal research.
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively along with having “ownership” of their portfolio and a can-do, solutions-focused attitude.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume of work and multiple priorities.

Assist in-house and outside counsel with the review and drafting of a wide variety of contracts including vendor, purchase & sale, operating, franchise, construction, vendor, loan and lease agreements.

Assist with the formation and maintenance of corporate entities, including the corporate records and filings along with corporate secretarial functions, including coordination of meeting calendars and agendas, preparation of meeting materials, recordkeeping associated with board meetings.
Conduct legal research and prepare summaries.
Assist Franchise Development team with the franchise disclosure process and other franchisor compliance issues for potential prospective and current franchisees, including filing of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), FDD amendments, and renewals.
