Position Overview:

Perform quantitative analysis required for strategic planning, financial analysis, budget development, financial forecasting, costing and monitoring of business unit operations, production programs, technological investments and special projects.



Functions:

Fully understand and formulate cost structures of Business Unit/Plants.

Established cost models to be applied in business evaluation.

Champion, monitor and defend all production budgets and profitability.

Write policies, as necessary, to strengthen, safeguard and assure financial performance of all programs.

Develop, complete and monitor business unit financial metrics, spending requests and program expense in conjunction with management.

Responsible for treasury management and overseeing, forecasting and reporting and cash flow.

Evaluate and calculate “payback analysis” on business opportunities, technological investments and new programs in conjunction with Commercial Coordinator and business unit management.

Summarize, analyze, compare and report actual monthly financial performance results to forecasted and budgeted financials.

Analyze and present various financial scenarios to BU’s, EUN’s and Management etc. in regard to profitability and financial performance of programs.

Gather, prepare, consolidate and distribute all production program financial data along with supporting documentation.

Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, analysis, techniques, principles and practices.

Strong aptitude and skill in analyzing and interpreting of financial data.

Ability to proactively gather and identify essential information in regard to financial data.

Ability to organize, classify and structure multiple pieces of financial information accurately.

Solid judgment and decision making aptitude in weighing relative cost and benefits of business actions.

Ability to “Critical Think” utilizing logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different business approaches.

Ability to successfully function in a matrix style of management.

Excellent organizational and follow-up skills; competent in problem solving, team building, and planning and shows aggressiveness when completing assignments and other responsibilities.

Education and Additional Requirements: 

Bachelor degree in business or accounting discipline required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 - 10 + yrs. of accounting or financial related experience coupled with hands on operational knowledge. 

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Project software.

Must be willing to travel occasionally.

Must be able to commit time necessary to get the job done.
