This position performs a wide variety of journey level programming and other technical tasks to implement and support PWNR’s database management systems which include CMMS systems (computerized maintenance management systems), AVL (automated vehicle locating), and mobile data programs. The position is responsible for installation, configuration, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, custom reporting, data analysis, and audit assistance. The analyst also manages the application security process including user setup, role and privilege definition, security permissions and overseeing the installation and/or upgrade of software releases.
Perform programming functions and technical support associated with the deployment and management of PWNR’s Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Automated Vehicle Location System, mobile applications and training software. Coordinate with software vendors on upgrades, troubleshooting and system diagnostics. Install applications and firmware. Perform basic system configuration changes. Assist mapping staff with GIS/CMMS integration issues and installs. Provide support to Lead GIS Analyst troubleshooting GIS applications and working with vendors to troubleshoot issues. Assist Engineering and Operations staff in the implementation of Asset Analysis tools using VB.net scripting. Implement condition rating formulas for cost/benefit review of planned capital investment using workflows coded in VB.NET and C#. Analyze department work processes and make recommendations to operational divisions on the use of technology for business process improvements. Program customizations and workflows to the CMMS systems and Mobile applications using VB.Net, C# and Oracle PL/SQL. Develop reports, and queries in a variety of formats using Structured Query Language (SQL), SQL Server Reporting Services and other report/query generation tools. Publish reports and integrate published SSRS reports with CMMS interface using existing user’s groups and permissions structures. Maintain CMMS integration with Microsoft Exchange using workflows coded in VB.NET using application web services. Manage user set-up, roles and privileges. Assist staff in the development of key performance indicators for dashboards, workflows, and workspace configuration for PWNR systems. Research hardware components, gather configuration information, and prepare equipment orders in cooperation with Enterprise Technology Services. Performs essential duties and additional tasks in a manner which enhances City Attributes.
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Work requires problem solving skills, frequent reading, reasoning, customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Work must be done while working closely with others including both co-workers and users. Frequent light lifting and carrying (up to 30 pounds.), pulling, pushing, reaching, walking, standing, and bending/stooping. Occasional sitting, climbing, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and driving. Periodic travel to other City departments.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science or a closely related field and one or more years of experience with SQL databases and programming. Preference will be given for prior experience with Infor Public Sector systems. Special Qualifications: Possession of a valid Colorado Driver’s License.
