Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general maintenance and repairs at the facility including basic electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, etc.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-Complete routine, specialized, and preventative maintenance functions such as; plumbing, basic electrical, HVAC, dry wall repair, carpentry, painting, and tile/vinyl repair

-Maintains accurate documentation of jobs assigned, jobs completed, work hours, etc.

-Conducts routine preventative maintenance inspections of assigned facilities

-Conducts routine safety inspections of assigned facilities

-Coordinates various work orders with outside contractors, and monitors job completion

-Moves furniture/furnishings within assigned facilities as well as throughout facilities owned/operated by the company

-Procures required materials for completion of assigned jobs

-Provides clean-up of area following the completion of assigned jobs

-Operates the company’s maintenance department in a safe manner by ad hearing to agency safety policies as well as safety standards of the facility maintenance industry

Requirements/ Qualifications:

-3-6 years of experience handling facility maintenance  or equivalent experience from various industries

-Must possess basic knowledge of facility maintenance and operating systems including but not limited to facility structure, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, alarm systems, sprinkler systems and the use of tools and equipment related to these systems

-Must be knowledgeable of code requirements and licensing standards for a variety of residential and day program facilities

Ability to relate to and work with individuals with developmental disabilities
