Our client is seeking an Electrician to join their manufacturing team on a Direct Hire basis!
Successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor performing a full range of duties. This position is responsible for maintaining and installing electrical and control systems throughout their facility. This role will troubleshoot and repair failed or faulty electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic components and systems. Periodic inspections, preventative maintenance, testing on all electrical and control systems will be necessary to ensure the efficient operation of our electrical and control systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
Repairs and maintains 240/480 three phase systems.
Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Must have knowledge of VFD installation, troubleshooting and programming.
Skilled in electric motor installation and troubleshooting.
Skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components
Ability to perform electrical work associated with industrial electric power distribution and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) control systems.
Skilled in Relay Logic and PLC programing is a plus.
Perform root-cause fault diagnostics on live electrical systems to identify and correct electrical, mechanical, control, pneumatic, and computer system failures so they remain at full functioning capacity.
Ability to run new circuits, pulling wire, bending conduit
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
5 years of electrical experience
Strong knowledge of the California Electrical Code
2 years or more of experience troubleshooting PLCs & VFDs
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematic drawings
Must have a thorough knowledge of industrial wiring, motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing and power circuits.
Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical gauges, recording instruments, electronic sensing units and other related equipment.
Knowledge and experience with electrical troubleshooting control systems
Must have thorough knowledge of industrial maintenance.
Must be detailed-oriented and deadline sensitive.
Strong knowledge in GMPS, LOTO
Current Driver License
Mon to Friday and weekends

Calibrate, and repair electrical-pneumatic control systems
Maintain, install, and repair plant equipment electrical systems and facility electrical system
