Cash Applications Specialist
Excellent opportunity to get into a growing company! Seeking an experienced Cash Applications Specialist, to provide daily cash posting of payments and ensure invoices are loaded properly into customer portals in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Must have:
- Prior Cash Applications/Cash Posting experience in a fast paced, high volume environment
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Pay is $18-20/hr to start, but after temp to hire conversion, pay will be $45K+
Essential Job functions:
- Cash Application knowledge
- Checks / NSF
- ACH / Lockbox
- Process credit cards
- Cash processing
- Follow-up allocated payments
- Portal Upload
- Invoicing & Billing Knowledge
- Preparing Excel files
- Reconcile file discrepancies
- Work with customers to resolve discrepancies
- Account Reconciliation
- Experience with GL accounts
- Balancing credit card reports
- Contact customers to resolve payment issues
- Prepare and charge all credit card customers on a routine basis
- Follow up on expired cards
- Follow up with customers on discrepancies / disputed credit card charges
- Update payment information
- Communicate with customers via phone, e-mail, mail or personally
- Problem analysis and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizational skills
- Customer service skills
