This position will be responsible for the southeast region. The chosen candidates may live anywhere in the southeast United states.

Key Responsibilities and Critical Success Measures

The Field Trainer is to develop the competencies and skill sets in an individual to perform the duties effectively and efficiently in the work place. The trainer will communicate to the trainees about what is expected out of training in a simple and professional way.

  • Assess the current training and recommend improvements.
  • Utilize plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) within the quality management system on implemented improvements.
  • Complete Training records to ensure accuracy, perform periodic to ensure compliance.
  • Adhere 1 personal efficiency improvements initiative per month. Complete 1 training efficiency improvements initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required and needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  •  4 - Year college or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of utility work experience is preferred.
  • Training experience in preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities are required.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities are required.
  • Must posses the ability to analyze data.
  • Expertise in the office suite programs (specially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Must have the ability to learn a variety of software and computer systems.
  • Obtain a Yellow Belt and lean certificate of achievement within the first 6 months.  

Reports to Manager, Compliance

Responsible for This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Any Other key relationship  Area Manager and field Supervisor

Work Environment 

  •  While performing the duties of this job, the employee to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee can be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
  • The job is performed under all weather conditions. There is some light manual labor required.
  • This job also also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety conditions at jobs sites.

Physical Requirements

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires up to 85% travel.
  • Travel is primary local during the business day, although some out of the travel and overnight may be expected.
  • Travel to other regions for support or new project startup is required as dictated by the Manager of compliance.
