Our well-established client looking to hire a Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of HR for their 2 locations. This position will report to the V.P. of Finance & Administration and be responsible for designing and implementing human resource strategies into action plans. The responsibilities will require the application of broad HR knowledge and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results in the following functions: employee relations, recruitment, compensation and benefits, policy interpretation, compliance issues such as EEO/AAP, FLSA and FMLA and employee relations consultation. This is a hands-on position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assists department managers with HR matters, and to coach and counsel employees regarding, performance improvement, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Create, implement and maintain an affirmative action plan and EEO reporting.
  • Assists with the FMLA, STD, and ADA administration.
  • Proactively anticipates and manages organizational talent acquisition involving the recruitment, staffing and on-boarding of new employees.
  • Coordinates annual talent assessment process and manages necessary recommendations associated with the assessment.
  • Reviews, audits and approves salary transactions for assigned employee levels according to applicable procedures.
  • Communicates and coordinates with Corporate Office to ensure high service levels and dissemination of company-wide benefits and other communication initiatives.
  • Implements and updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts salary surveys; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Prepares and evaluates periodic metric reports concerning headcount, turnover, position openings, etc., to assure the best utilization of personnel. Identifies areas for improvements.
  • Creates, evaluates and edits Company policies and procedures in alignment with Company objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains department records, Company organizational chart, and employee directory.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.

·         Manages annual benefit open enrollment meetings.

·         Answer employee inquiries concerning medical coverage and voluntary products.

·         Perform other duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelors' degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent.  Minimum of 5-7 years of HR generalist experience. 7-9 years of human resources management experience is preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Proven track record for achieving high levels of employee morale
  • Play a key role in developing and maintaining a positive company culture.
  • Knowledge of Salary Administration/Compensation and Benefit Administration.
  • Strong knowledge in EEO and Affirmative Action, ADA and FMLA.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and counseling to all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, present and coordinate training programs
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
