Our Registered Nurses perform basic duties that include treating and educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and, provide advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members. They are also involved in running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients. As you would suspect, they record patient’s medical histories and symptoms, help to perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, and, help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. They enjoy teaching patients and their families how to manage their illness and/or injury. 1. Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Kansas.
2. BLS upon hire and maintain current.
3. Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care preferred.
4. Behavior Violence training upon hire or within 6 months; and maintain current.
