Pay Range:  $48,165.00 - $60,207.00

The City of Fort Worth seeks an IT Programmer Analyst I (Junior DBA) to work with our Database Design and Support Team to support the Microsoft SQL Server environment throughout the organization.  The IT Programmer Analyst I (Junior DBA) will provide excellent customer service, be an astute trouble-shooter, be able to translate business requirements into detailed technical requirements, and be able to support the other DBAs on the team.

The IT Solutions Database Design and Support Team maintains and supports the City’s Microsoft SQL Server environment.  The team works with developers and installers to ensure a robust, efficient, and scalable database hosting solution.  The team supports all City departments.  This opportunity offers challenges in technology, ability to take business requirements and identify technical solutions, ability to automate customer manual processes, and interface multiple systems together to best provide the customers with supporting data within the City of Fort Worth.

What We’re Looking For

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the position may qualify; Human Resources Department will determine appropriate qualifications.  A typical way to obtain the minimum requirements would be:

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field we no experience required.  One (1) or more years of experience with SQL Server database technologies is preferred.  Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.

We are looking for an IT Programmer Analyst I (Junior DBA) who has experience in supporting Microsoft SQL Server.  The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL Server administration, report writing, development of SSIS packages, ETL processes, design and build of SQL objects (views, triggers, tables, stored procedures, etc.) and performance tuning.  The candidate must be flexible to work on multiple assignments at once.  Ability to troubleshoot issues and work within a team environment is a must.
