We are currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Technical Services Team. This work would involve the planning, supporting and engineering of Technology items for clients. As a Systems Engineer you would be part of our Technical Services Team, where you would be expected to learn and intimately understand clients’ business needs as they relate to technology. As a consultant, it is required that you can relate to and communicate well with business leaders and IT staff, when applicable, and reinforce the value of solutions that have been provided.

Education
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or a minimum of three years relevant experience in the Information Technology field.
Additional Information
· Position will require limited evening and weekend work based on client activities.
· Daily travel to client’s locations could be necessary within a 75 mile radius
· Normal hours are between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Primary Technical Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in the design, selection, and implementation, and support of customer Technology needs.
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of our corporate and customer data
- Remote and on-premise advanced support for client and technical staff of: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless APs and Controllers, Backups, Critical Power, Environmental Monitoring, and others.
- Help implement and support cloud solutions – Azure and AWS
- New implementation project work for all the above technologies, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Server, Directory, Domain, and Application support and migrations.
- Monitoring and alerting of environment anomalies leveraging a variety of tools.
- On-call rotation participation for emergency client outages.
- Intensive, detailed, and accurate documentation and timekeeping.
Expected Technical Specialization
- Experience in architecting, implementing, and supporting Network Infrastructure systems such as: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless APs and Controllers
- Penetration testing experience a BIG plus.
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft server platforms (2003 through 2019), desktop platforms (XP through 10) and Active Directory, including GPO management a plus
- Experience with implementing and supporting Virtualization products. i.e. VMWare, Hyper-V
- Experience with implementing and supporting Storage Area Networks.
- Experience with implementing and supporting backups with various backup platforms.
- Experience with industry standards as they pertain to structured cabling of Data and Voice networks.
Consulting Assistance Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate and perform Network Assessments based off customer needs.
- Assist in evaluating client needs and determining the appropriate technology solution.
- Assist with preparing the Statement of Work when required.
- Assist in presenting solutions to prospective customers.
- Assist in each stage of the sales process with the sales team.
- Training both technical and non-technical users on how to apply Network best practices.
