Industrial Maintenance Technician

IFS Industries, Inc Garland, TX Full-Time
$58,000 - $60,000/Year

$2,000 Retention Bonus!!! $1,000 paid on first full payroll after 90- days and $1,000 paid on first full payroll after 180 days.


The Maintenance Technician performs routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. These activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and trouble shooting to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours


Ø Monthly preventive maintenance tasks

Ø Troubleshooting electric and pneumatic pumps

Ø Repair and rebuilding of diaphragm pumps from ¾” to 3” sizes

Ø Changing of mechanical seals in centrifugal pumps

Ø Repair and rebuilding of gear pumps

Ø Shaft alignment for pumps

Ø Minor electrical work

Ø General facility upkeep and routine repairs

Ø Metal work a plus (mig, tig, stick welding, torch and plasma cutting)

Ø Ability to work on projects and work orders with minimum supervision

Ø Basic computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web based system)

Ø 3-5 years of Industrial Maintenance a plus

Ø Routine lifting (50+ lbs) required

Ø Exp with Allen Bradley Drives or other PLC’s

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ø Good organizational skills

Mig tig and stic welding is a plus

Ø Basic mathematical skills

Ø Basic computer skills Microsoft Office software.

Ø Must communicate effectively in English with verbal skills, writing skills and reading comprehension

Ø Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse community.

Ø Ability to work independently maintaining high standards.

Ø Must be able to work overtime if needed.

Ø Must be able to work on-call rotation after hours and on weekends

Must be able to work on call rotations once a month

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Ø Required: High School Diploma or GED

Ø 2+ years exp in industrial maintenance in an manufacturing environment .

Ø Technical School certifications a plus
