Overview of the International Tax Manager role:

  • Research and analysis of international tax provisions effecting corporations, partnerships, and individuals
  • International tax structuring for our clients as they expand their business across borders
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of staff on client engagements
  • Train and mentor staff and senior accountants
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to clients
  • Maintain knowledge of general economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect the international business climate
  • Possess strong technical taxation skills and the ability to form strong client relationships

Preferred Qualifications for the International Tax Manager:

  • CPA with 5 or more years’ experience in tax, preferably with at least 2 working with international tax in a national or Big 4 firm
  • Experience with inbound and outbound US international taxation, including reporting for international subsidiaries or companies
  • Knowledge and/or experience with all or some of the following:

o Forms 5471, 5472 and 8858 
o FDAP withholding, including Forms 1042 and 1042-S 
o Global Intangible Low Taxed Income (GILTI) 
o Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII)
o FIRPTA 
o Foreign tax credits

  • Strong leadership and organization skills required for multiple engagements
  • Ability to conduct research on tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
  • A passionate drive to exceed clients’ service expectations and a drive to build trust with clients by developing relationships through in-person meetings, phone calls, and prompt
