Job Description

A Relationship Manager is the team member responsible for helping the Financial Advisors manage all existing relationships. These include clients, connections, strategic partners, referrals and prospects.

Requirements of the Relationship Manager

  • Must be warm and social with an engaging personality.  Clients must like and enjoy communicating with our Relationship Manager.

  • Personally well organized. 

  • Comfortable in dealing with a lot of people.

  • Confident around people with money

  • Self Confidence is a must.

  • Excellent communication skills including strong written, verbal and listening skills.

  • Strong initiative, teamwork and organizational skills are essential with the ability to prioritize multiple requests from a variety of sources.

  • Analytical skills along with attention to detail.

  • In conversation, demonstrates interest in the other person. 

  • Willing to make a lot of phone calls.

  • Excellent skills with the key MS Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

  • Excellent manners.

  • Experience in financial services or a related field (mortgage broker, insurance, real estate, banking) is a decided plus, but allowances will be made for other similar experience.

  • Excellent customer service, problem solving and relationship management skills with the ability to convey a positive attitude and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, tact and salesmanship.

  • Within 3 months, take and pass one or more courses in personal finance as directed by the owners of Financial Concepts.

Responsibilities of the Relationship Manager

  • Promote a positive image of the firm and develops and maintains effective business relationships with clients

  • Show appreciation to our strategic partners when providing referrals.

  • Through deep profiling, build deep relationships with our clients and partners.

  • Capture and record detailed information about clients, partners and prospects that the Advisor and other team members will find helpful in building and maintaining good will.

  • Insure all social and educational events are well planned, well attended and produce rave reports.

  • Identify and record all outside assets and opportunities held by clients and as much as possible from prospects.

  • Plan and execute birthday lunches, social events, birthday calls, client educational seminars, and special events for special clients.

  • Participate in decisions on targeted mailings.

  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

  • Ensure the FAs have their targeted number of appointments with clients and prospects.
