Job Description

i360 is seeking a Federal Marketing & Communications SME to support our federal client to maintain the current environment.  The successful candidate will have 5yrs of Federal Marketing and Communication experience.  This SME should be comfortable collaborating with the federal team, partner agencies and the public to promote and federal open source code software project in general. This project is on-boarding in Washington DC - June 2019.

Position Description:

The Federal Software, Support Marketing & Communication SME hire must have (5) Five Years of Effective Solid Communication and collaboration skills in federal teams, partner agencies and the public to promote and federal open source code.

Position Requirements:

• Must have 5yrs of experience planning and facilitating meetings around open source topics (Meetups, summits, speaking engagements, conferences, hackathons/code-a-thons)
• Must have experience with Live Tweeting at above events
• Must have experience promoting Agency /Program events via social media channels
• Must be able to Create Graphics with Headshots to be used in promotional activities
• Mus be able to use logo to design promotional items (lanyards, pens, stickers)
• Must be able to Create and Edit Videos and Post on Social Media Channels
• Must have experience with Drafting and Posting Articles on’s Medium account (blog), after following proper approval process
• Must have experience Attend conferences with team to live tweet, create videos and generate ideas for Medium articles

Position Requirements:

• Candidate must be able to demonstrate 5yrs of successful experience Conducting Research, development, operations and maintenance, and customer service
• Must have experience with Federal regulatory and policy requirements
• Must be able to Engage with the open source landscape inside and outside the government, including having attended and/or having organized a hackathon.
• Must have the ability to Plan and Facilitate meetings (MeetUps, Summits, Speaking Engagements, Conferences)
• Must have experience Promoting Events via Social Media Channels (Medium, Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Must have experience Creating Graphics to be used in Promotional Activities
• Must understand how to Design Promotional Items (Lanyards, Pens, Stickers)
• Must be able to Create, Edit and Post Videos on social media channels
• Must be Innovative and able to Generate ideas for articles
• Must Draft and Post Articles on Medium and Other Channels 
• Must have Exposure to the Agile Manifesto Principles and Lean/Agile Development Practices
• Must be Comfortable working with a Geographically Distributed Team

• Must have Excellent Customer Relationship Management skills
• Ability to develop polished, professional documentation and other written materials

• Ability to extend a strong commitment to quality of solutions and services provided to client
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision with proactive problem-solving skills
• The selected candidate will be required to undergo a successful background check before starting the project
• Only Direct Hires (No recruiting or staffing firms submissions will be considered)
• US Citizenship is required (Green Cards are welcomed)
• This role requires that you are on-site in Washington DC - locals preferred

Primary Location: Washington, DC, 20405

Hours on-site:
Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
