Job Description

Job Title: Assembler B - Mechanical Assembly - High Pressure

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Location: Elk River, MN

Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am, Monday thru Thursday 

Career Level: Entry (1 to 3 years) 

Education: Verified High School Diploma/GED 

Salary: $14.50/hour + 8% Shift Differential ($15.66/hour)

Primary Objective of Position: 

To use assembly prints and work instructions to perform basic assembly of high pressure products and sub-assemblies that reach 20,000 psi. Assemblers sign off on training sheets as areas of responsibility are completed.

Major Areas of Accountability:

1. Basic Assembly - perform assembly of sub-assemblies, kits and basic high-pressure product; assemble fittings, gauges, and systems; and utilizes work instructions, assembly prints, and tools and fixturing to engineering specification

2. Productivity and Efficiency - seek and recommend ways to eliminate potential quality problems, to improve processes, and to increase department/division productivity; produce products to meet expectations of customer shipments, and ensure quality products with minimal amount of rework and scrap

3. Inspection - inspect product to meet quality standards

Job Requirements


1. Experience with assembly products and/or assembly experience with detailed products using hand tools, calibrated equipment and microscopes

2. High school diploma/GED

3. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

4. Knowledge of blueprints

5. Communicate (verbal/written) effectively with customers, suppliers and employees

6. Work in a cooperative and team oriented environment

7. According to Government Regulations, all employees in this job classification must be a US Citizen or permanent resident of the United States

Physical Requirements:

1. Normal vision, hearing, and dexterity

2. Lift carry or maneuver up to 60 pounds

3. Stand all day
