Job Description

Our nationally known Preschool is currently seeking a candidate that will be proactive and confident. The right candidate will possess the skill set to successfully achieve the tasks outlined below.

The right candidate will be capable or managing the faculty, be well organized and able to handle many different obligations. Communication is a key element to this position. Candidates must be outgoing, personable, and able to interface with parents. Recruiting, touring, as well as selling the school is essential.

 The responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Maintain accurate reports, such as medical files, children’s files and faculty member’s files
  • Conduct emergency drills, such as fire. Tornado, and intruder drills, in accordance with state licensing requirements
  • Maintain a school inventory, load and unload buses 
  • Plan and implement a program for her or his and the faculty’s professional growth
  • Operate the school within budget, ordering of supplies, pizza money collection and reporting, ordering lunch from caterer
  • Arrange for maintenance and repairs
  • Calendar updates within Vertical Response program

Licensing Obligations and documentation

  • Initiate and maintain a positive relationship with the licensing agent or agency
  • Comply with all current licensing regulations


  • Conduct the faculty orientation, on boarding, and assist with monthly faculty meetings
  • Complete 90-day and annual faculty reviews with Education Director 
  • Conduct monthly classroom observations and daily classroom checks
  • Conduct classroom ratio checks throughout the day and knowledge of state ratios varying from 6 weeks to 12 years old
  • Review children’s portfolios regularly
  • Ensure that each classroom has an effective management system in place
  • 100 % preparedness to pass internal QA audit at any time
  • Flexible with prioritizing and re-prioritizing daily/monthly task, ability to multi-task and finish projects
  • Constant and open communication
  • Being a team player with other staff within the school


All candidates who wish to be considered for the position, must meet one or more of the following criteria and any and all requirements that be me mandated by their state and/ or local licensing authorities:

  • A bachelor’s degree (preferably in childhood ed.)
  • An associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education, elementary education, child development, or related field
  • An associate’s degree or higher in a related field, including 18 hours of completed coursework related to young children from birth to age eight, two years
  • A current CDA or early childhood teaching credential, an additional 12 semester hours of continuing education units in courses related to young children from birth age to eight
  • Review lesson plans and confirm teachers are teaching to the lesson plans
  • Review the daily activity reports and approve pictures
  • Ensure that each classroom has an effective management system in place

Job Requirements


  • Ability to assist or lead a classroom when necessary 
  • Proactive, effective and communicative leadership skills
  • Available to work any hours between 6:30-6 Monday-Friday
  • Available for special events outside of school hours (evenings and on weekends)
  • Conduct classroom ratio checks throughout the day
  • Offer educational and QA support on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure that each classroom has an effective management system in place
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects and day to day ops.
  • Able to make effective decisions and communication with management

**Hourly rate with ability to go to salary is based off of experience**
