POSITION TITLE: Business Development Officer - 4 Positions (Nationwide)
Create integrated strategies to develop regional and international client relationships to establish contacts, market new business, and expand our market presence in the:
1. 1) Oil and Gas Industry providing Shorebase and Fabrication services within Energy, Refining, and Industrial Plants.
2. 2) Forestry Exporting Industry – including but not limited to woodchips, logs, etc...
3. 3) Shipping and Cargo Industry, which include bulk, breakbulk, project cargo and logistics.
4. 4) International Shipping and Logistics Experience in Developing Import and Export Opportunities.
Initial duties will consist of identifying potential clients in target markets, while conducting appropriate research on prospective client’s business needs. Identify new clients and initiate and develop relationships with prospective clients. It will be necessary to become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations while remaining up-to-date on industry news. The goal is to serve our Clients with quality and professional representatives.
Must have strong skills interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on organization, and enhanced multitasking abilities.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty safely and satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability desired.
- B2B sales, marketing and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals.
- Experience researching market trends in Oil and Gas; targeting relationships and using proven methods to develop our business strategy while retaining marketing partners.
- Research prospective accounts in targeted OEM markets and End Users and pursue leads to identify new business.
- Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients.
- Identify new prospects within the market category you have been assigned.
- Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning.
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors.
§ Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Core Industries:
Ø Bachelor’s Degree and related knowledge of specific Industries
Ø Proven track record of business sales in specific Industries
Ø Excellent project management and organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting desired
Ø Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software
Ø Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ø Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements
Ø Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical in a clear and concise manner
Ø Flexibility for extensive travel
Commensurate base salary with an aggressive and rewarding commission structure offered, which provides a range of flexible benefits including but not limited to:
§ Compensation shall have a commission component which shall be applied to all new client business or new product lines within our existing client base which Business Development Officer is directly responsible for acquiring.
