We are hiring a Benefits Benchmarking Subject Matter Expert (SME). In this role, you'll be responsible for market analysis activities that help drive market requirements and deliver innovative product solutions for Benchmarking benefit plans based on prevalence/design and/or cost/value. You'll help lead product launch activities and ongoing market-facing support, predominately working in an agile environment. You'll also combine business and product strategy to ensure the development and execution of the product is in line with the product road map and vision that the senior product owner sets forth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead benefit benchmarking product design to meet the needs of clients and their benefit advisors regarding design, cost and provisions for the following plans:
    o Health
    o Welfare
    o Wellness
    o Life and disability
    o Retirement Plans (DB and DC/Savings)
    o Paid Time-Off
    o Perquisites
    o Flexible Benefits
    o Flexible working practices
    o Relocation
    o Ancillary/optional/voluntary benefits

  • Engage in data analysis in a practical way and collaborate with a team of Data Scientists to conceptualize and create innovative products
  • Develop user stories and requirements while evaluating their potential and practicality by analyzing market, customer and third-party advisor needs
  • Serve as the central resource with design, process, development, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales and service on the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved
  • Serves as a technical resource/content expert to sales and service; providing them with tools and training necessary to increase sales and client satisfaction/retention.
  • Supports product launch activities and ongoing market-facing support.

Required Skills:

  • 10-15+ years of experience in benchmarking benefit plan designs, including Health and Welfare, Retirement, Paid Time Off and other benefit plans.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-matrix teams to accomplish project goals.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple stakeholders on the best course of action for the product.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally.
  • Must be a strong collaborator, team player as well as an individual contributor.
  • Education Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent in education and experience.
