Our client is a reputable third party administrator seeking to add on a Workers Compensation Lost Time Examiner to their remote team. THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION - with the potential to go permanent down the road!
This person will be working on multiple accounts handling the following obligations:
Investigate new claim from start to finish and determined if injury is compensable.
Set up indemnity payments if applicable.
File necessary forms with TDI within the allowed time frame.
Assign counsel as needed for defense.
Determine policy coverage and evaluated claims for potential fraud.
Calculated and assigned timely and appropriate reserves to claims and continued to monitor reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
MUST have experience handling Lost Time Claims for the state of CA.
Will be handing claims pending load of 125-150.
