About the Cleveland, MS Facility:

• Cleveland’s technology and automation is cutting edge. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV bottles, and various reconstitution devices. This facility produces a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly.

About the Position:

• This position is a key role in the Plastic Pour Bottle Operations. Primary focus will be on procurement activities (construction and other services, equipment, materials, and other items as identified) for implementing continuous improvement, new business, and capacity expansion capital projects. Additionally, provide clerical support and have data entry duties. Liaise with vendors who handle product lines of interest to maintenance. Cross-functional project management will be involved in this role as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Purchasing:

o Source vendors for best price, obtain written quotes. Source alternative suppliers to improve price, quality or service.

o Utilize best practices in purchasing to negotiate terms & conditions of sale

o Ensure purchase orders are submitted for all purchases with correct pricing and delivery dates

o Plan, organize and implement an orderly and effective parts system, utilizing optimum layout, frequent part usage and space etc.

o Conduct follow up on outstanding PO''s for expected delivery (Expediting Reports).

• Clerical:

o Match receipts with purchase orders and put away in allocated locations. Verify actual receivable to the PO.

o Package and return incorrect parts shipped in error.

o Ensure work area is maintained to 6S standards.

o Arrange and coordinate outside repair service when called upon. (i.e. Tow motor repairs, conveyor belt repairs etc.).

• Data Entry:

o Generate requisitions and PO''s, as required for construction and other services, equipment, and materials.

o Enter/ update into JDE all manual log sheets ,PM''s sheets and Receiving PO''s.

• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

• Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

• Drive Continuous Improvement Activities.

• Interface with plant and corporate groups as well as contractors and vendors.

• Provide technical support/troubleshooting to all plant departments.

• Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.

• Demonstrate proactive communication and problem solving.

• Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, log books.

• Prepares regular supplier feedback on key requirements (report cards).

• Procurement of construction and other services, equipment, materials, and other items as identified to meet production demands and capital project requirements.

• Prepares purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment to conform to company policy.

Qualifications:

• Required:

o Post-secondary education in a technical field, supply chain or purchasing

o 5 – 8 years of relevant experience

o Construction industry, mechanical, electrical, other technical background or knowledge of construction, equipment suppliers, machine shops and manufacturing operations.

o Strong purchasing, negotiation, supply chain skills

o Ability to negotiate costing and delivery times with vendors

o Strong verbal and written communication skills

o Intermediate knowledge in computer systems (JDE, Coupa)

o Ability to understand and communicate with technical personnel on all aspects of maintenance issues

o Ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization in a professional manner.

o Ability to manage multiple commitments and competing priorities

o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.

o Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

o Excellent written and oral communication skills.

o Intermediate level proficiency with entire MS office Suite.

o Intermediate level key boarding skills

• Preferred:

o 8+ years of relevant experience

o Bachelor''s degree in business or technical field

o PMAC accreditation, C.P.M. and/or CPIM certification or partial completion preferred

o Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry background

o Current US Customs knowledge.

o Ability to read blueprints and parts manuals.

o Intermediate knowledge in computer systems (JDE, Coupa).

• Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications.

• Project Management and skills and experience are a plus.

• Lean Manufacturing skills and experience are a plus.

• Must be able to interact with all levels of employees and functions such as engineering, quality, validation, manufacturing, maintenance, etc.

• Must be able to meet all cleanroom Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) for areas of manufacturing where work needs to be done.

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime work, as needed to support manufacturing activities.
