The inside sales customer service representative will be responsible for increasing sales with existing customers, pursuing and establishing relationships with new customers and achieving designated sales quotas. This position also supports customer service functions of the company and other affiliated companies as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
Procure new customers and maintain order frequency through phone and mail.
Follow up with inbound leads daily and develop a working knowledge of accounts.
Enhance sale numbers by cross-selling, up-selling, etc.
Provide superior customer service and assist with related duties (taking and entering orders, confirming order logistics and other aspects of customer service- related assistance).
Become knowledgeable of the company’s product lines, industry terminology and company operations.
Provide support and work in correlation with production, shipping and accounting departments.
Provide concise customer updates to management in the form of daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly customer recaps.
Assist when necessary with out of office duties and functions as deemed necessary.
Focus on service recovery.
Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent. AA or BA preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal (telephone) and written (email) communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player capabilities across multiple departments within the companies evolving, fast-paced environment.
Energetic, motivated self-starter with a proven track record of building sales and/or previous customer service experience.
Time- oriented and highly organized individual.
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft applications, keyboard skills and sales entry software.
This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Will not be required to travel or conduct any business marketing.
