Job Description

Shoreside Logistics provides a wide array of cargo services and specializes in serving the Ports of Jacksonville and West Palm Beach, Florida. 

Our services include:

•             Local port drayage

•             Warehousing near Port operations

•             Dedicated fleet

•             Consolidation, deconsolidation

•             Customs House Broker

•             Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC)

•             International freight forwarder (IFF)


Shoreside Logistics is a member of the Saltchuk family of companies.

Job Purpose

Shoreside Logistics is reaching to manage assigned accounts, grow relationships, solicit and accept loads, and ensure timely delivery of committed freight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively exceed customer expectations for communication and service.

  • Communicate with each assigned customer at least once per week.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Realizes annual customer commitments by working with Sales, Planning and Fleet Management.

  • Anticipate and identify problems and find solutions.

  • Accept and solicit orders by phone, email, websites, and other electronic transmissions.

  • Document account and load specific information in the operating system for assigned customers and locations.

  • Checks orders, location codes, and customer profiles for data accuracy and update details to exceed customer expectations.

  • Exceed total service needs of our customers.

  • Exceed metrics, leads, and lag measures in all areas including service, phone etiquette, and solicitation.


Job Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of the Transportation industry and Department of Transportation regulations.

  • Knowledge of geographic locations, with the ability to understand and calculate time and distance.

  • Strong phone skills to include tone, pace, and clarity.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills.

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a high stress environment.

  • Advanced technical/computer skills with the ability to use at least 3 different programs simultaneously.

  • Solid planning and organizing skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.

  • An innovative approach to problem solving.
