Automotive Manufacturing Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of the metal stamping department’s quality control initiatives that satisfy customer requirements and promote sustained profitability.


Responsibilities include:

-          management of control systems to assess, develop, and continuously improve the quality of in-plant processes

-          direct and coordinate activities of department’s inspection, analysis, and training

-          insure all PPAP requirements are met and documented

-          review complex quality issues and plan for countermeasures

-          work with management team to analyze process issues and respond with appropriate countermeasure

-          monitor suppliers performance for continuous improvement opportunities

-          insure appropriate corrective actions are defined and implemented

-          direct negotiations with customers regarding quality related matters

-          quality representative for production department for ISO/IATF activities



Education and Experience:

-          minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing with supervisory responsibilities

-          proficient with statistics, Six Sigma and other analytical tools

-          fluent with OEM quality procedures and processes

-          working knowledge of PPAP, PFEMA, and control plans as related to the automotive industry

-          experience in reading part prints and application of GD&T

-          proficient with core tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA)

-          related college degree

-          formal quality training/certification
