Job Description

One of our clients in Fenton, MI is looking to add a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to their team!


  • The purpose of this operating procedure is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties, and measures of performance for the Plant Manager.

  • Increase the productivity and quality of the operations, activities and functions of the Plant.

  • Be responsible for directing and performing operations to ensure that all Plant operations meet the applicable requirements.

  • Supervise personnel, evaluate job performance, coordinate jobs, and advise on the instruction of all plant personnel.

Job Requirements


  • Minimum: High School Diploma. Prefer: Bachelor’s Degree in business or industrial management. Equivalent experience considered.

  • Prefer eight to ten (8-10) years of practical assembly, steel components, or HVAC experience at a small to medium size Manufacturing & Fabrication business. Prefer five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role for a fabrication, welding, or HVAC related industry. Equivalent experience considered.

  • Ability to supervise personnel, evaluate job performance, coordinate jobs, and advise Supervisors and other plant employees.

  • Knowledge to read drawings, apply specifications, and direct others in the plant.

  • Knowledge of safety requirements - this includes training, coordination, and maintenance of safety-related functions and personnel for this department.

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, and maintains records of the reviews, inspection results, and performance documentation.

  • Understanding of the general applications of all departments in the plant.

  • Organizing meetings and training sessions as and when the need arises.

  • Adaptable to change and display flexibility, ability to work within deadlines.

  • Ability to manage, communicate and develop the plant.

  • Must be self-motivated, have strong organizational skills and be detailed oriented.

  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project and other systems supporting the Company’s operational needs (e.g. ERP system).
