Entry Level Electrical Engineer

  • Utilize hands-on engineering skills to carry out consumer electronic Analog device testing and/or experiments to drive claims, demos and regulatory or proprietary testing standards or internal device knowledge. Communicates all project related updates in written and/or oral communications.
  • Interact with OEMs on as needed basis to gather analog and digital device testing methodologies or intelligence and lead OEM testing. Provide technical or design-in support to assist internal and external customers such as other BUs or OEM device manufacturers.
  • Utilize hands-on Analog engineering skills to organize experiments, conduct tests to translate devices into testing methods to drive claims, demos and regulatory standards (ANSI, IEC, etc...). Develop and validate device related simulation protocols for internal use and to drive external standards such as ANSI, IEC, and other regulatory standards or governing bodies.
  • Improve lab testing capabilities via new procedures, lab view and other data acquisition systems to increase lab efficiency and productivity. Participate or lead software development platforms to improve Device lab capabilities and transformations into data driven solutions.
  • Demonstrate engagement with project teams as needed, both on the team and as a resource. Translate consumer device trends into technical requirements and enable others to understand devices and the implications of design choices. Provide technical or design-in support to internal and external customers such as other BUs or OEM device manufacturers.
  • Occasionally travel domestically and overseas (5~10%).
  • BSEE in Electrical Engineering or MSEE and 1~5 years experience in Analog related electronics, AC/DC and DC/DC voltage converters, chargers and electronic fuel gauging for portable devices. Magnetics, EMI, RF and certification such as UL, CE, FCC experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of visual basic, lab view or other software languages is a major plus.
  • Ability to use digital and analog measuring equipment (i.e Oscopes, DVMs)
  • Good problem solving and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment from various backgrounds and translate technical terms to laymen’s terms.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills required, self-starter and self directed.
