Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Student Account Representative for one of our clients in the Schaumburg area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Address and pursue collection of past due accounts and delinquent balances through direct contact with students by letter, telephone, email and skip tracing.
Negotiate with students in establishing payment plans to bring accounts current.
Responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing correspondence including but not limited to incoming student letters, emails, phone inquiries, bankruptcies, outgoing statements, invoices and dunning letters
Coordinate live contact campaigns to ensure consistent communication with out of school students
Manage student portfolio to ensure compliance with department policy and procedure
Work with all necessary departments to minimize bad debt by utilizing information on the AMD earned A/R and other reports
Strong customer service skills
Ability to write narrative reports
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong orientation towards high-volume, fast paced, time sensitive business operations
Knowledge of internal control concepts and principles
Knowledge of financial aid process or experience
High ethical standards
1-3 years’ experience in collections for service industry (preferred)
