Job Description

JOB SUMMARY – Responsible for safely moving raw materials, WIP, and finished goods throughout the organization to ensure the adequate resources are available at point of use to meet daily production requirements. 1st 2nd shifts are available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Movement of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods within and between productions facilities.
  • Transport activities including box truck and trailer loading and unloading  while ensuring all Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) guidelines (e.g. chock blocks, dock locks and safety chains) are followed.
  • Maintain stock levels at established quantities and locations throughout the facilities.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of all Logistics Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including mandatory shift safety checks, established operating guidelines, PPE, and all other required organization protocol.
  • Communicate to Supervisors, Team Leads, Group Leads any equipment issues or other concerns including safety, inventory discrepancies, and shortages.
  • Access information via SAP and other business systems (SDS Database, Document Control) as needed.
  • Responsible to remove plant refuse and recyclables in accordance with established facility guidelines and assist in maintaining outside storage areas
  • Assist is inventory maintenance activities including physical inventories, cycle counts, shift by shift inventory sheets, and spot checks as needed
  • Participating in the auditing process including implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace including housekeeping and other effort that support a clean and safe workplace.
  • Incorporate 5 S ( everything has a place ) into your work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – High School Diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing/Logistics experience preferred. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience desired.




COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS – Basic math and computer skills


REASONING ABILITY – Multi tasking, Teamwork, Problem Solving, Passion and Commitment, Clear and Open Communication, Delivering Results


PHYSICAL DEMANDS – The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Must be able to work 8-12 hour shift schedules depending upon assigned shift schedule. Must be able to stand up to 8-12 hours at a time depending upon assigned shift schedule at a time. Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds if occasionally. Constant motion, push/pull/lift and bending/squatting activities throughout the assigned shift.
