We are seeking an HR Assistant (Federal Work Experience) to join our team!


In order to be considered, the incumbent must have experience in the following areas.

  • Perform quality review to ensure the accuracy of all personnel actions, awards, and new hires are processed based on the OPM (Office of Personnel Management) Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA).
  • Must have experience processing retro-active and corrections in accordance with the GPPA.
  • Ensure the protection of all Personally identifiable information (PII) while using the NFC Personnel Systems.
  • Must have recent experience with EmpowHR system (within the last two years) and knowledge OPM guide to processing personnel actions
  • Maintain, scan and upload documents to electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) in accordance with OPM’s guide to personnel record keeping
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the processing of Federal personnel and payroll actions.


  • Previous experience in Federal Human Resources, personnel and payroll processing, or other related HR fields
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees and customers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Requirements


  • 2 years as an HR Assistant with a degree; 4 years without a degree
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance
