ROLE: SharePoint O perations & Maintenance Specialist


ASSURSEC is seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Full-Time SharePoint Operations and Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team. The individual must be inquisitive, independent, and excited to learn. The ideal candidate is one who is a divergent thinker and understands industry best practices. You will be responsible for site configuration and maintenance activities including user account maintenance, troubleshooting and other administrative activities. You must deliver quality products on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Position Responsibilities:


Ensure SharePoint architecture (including supporting hubs, site collections, sites, and subsites) supports the business needs of the client

Support SharePoint sites and applications O&M, as well as site configuration and maintenance activities, including system administrative support through user account maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting in successful coordination with stakeholders responsible for interfaces and infrastructure performance

Support ongoing data migration needs and troubleshooting all production issues with Information Technology Security Office SharePoint sites and applications to resolution/remediation

Support enterprise-wide information and database management, quality assurance, change management, computer security, development, and enhancement of standards/procedures

Assist in field and program management, post implementation reviews, and project status and system development/implementation assessments

Perform adaptive maintenance to upgrade, convert, and enhance to adapt to changes in the requirements or the processing environment

Upgrade or convert current content and functionality to adapt to enhancements made to the system

Create, update, and deliver documentation for all SharePoint initiatives, including best practice recommendations (i.e., technical manuals, user guides, operation guides)

Perform system design activities to support problem analysis and resolution

Provide technical assistance for end users and produce/update all additional documentation requested by the COR

Perform site migration and conversion activities that include the transition of existing SharePoint sites and applications from one environment to another

Create new pages/sites and perform modifications or make additions to the client’s SharePoint environment to support changes to the organization or its reporting requirements, site/page requirements, data edits, etc.

Develop and maintain user-friendly sites and pages consistent with organizational governance

Respond in a timely and professional manner to client’s SharePoint mailbox for new SharePoint requests and reporting of problems



Travel Requirements:


On-Site: Washington D.C.


QUALIFICATIONS


Experience/Skills:


7+ years of SharePoint development, administration, and management

5+ years of Knowledge Management experience

5+ years of experience with migrating from SharePoint 2013 to SPO

5+ years of experience with developing and documenting process workflows

5+ years of experience editing technical writing products

5+ years of experience communication to diverse audiences (written and verbally)

5+ years of experience providing written documentation of processes

Strong oral and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with proficiency in interpersonal skills

Ability to efficiently adjust to changing priorities while delivering on time

Strong research, data gathering and critical thinking capabilities


Certifications:


Microsoft SharePoint and equivalent Certifications

IT Security Certifications is a Plus


Education:


Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field


Clearance:


Must have Authorization to work in the United States

Public Trust Clearance
