IT Helpdesk Technician

The IT Helpdesk Technician is primarily responsible for all technical support for our IT operations primarily in North America but will also support Europe and Asia. Apart from providing helpdesk support for the division, the Support Specialist will work closely with IT leadership to carry out strategic IT initiatives and facilitate communication between IT and other departments within the company.

  • Diagnose complex problems and quickly resolve them.
  • Conduct desktop, laptop, repair and warranty management.
  • Source and order equipment as necessary.
  • Onboard new Employees by setting up all necessary equipment as identified by the manager.
  • Respond to all help desk requests in a timely manner via phone, remote support, or email.
  • Set up new equipment and issue to users and perform repairs and upgrades to existing equipment.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly Global IT meetings and provide assistance to IT department on special projects.
  • Responsible for helpdesk report generation and internal SLA.
  • Identify ways to increase helpdesks efficiency and increase productivity within the company.
  • Communicate with and schedule contractors for remote location support.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation.
  • Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.

Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology field required; Bachelor’s degree in business or an Information Technology field preferred.


  • 1+ year(s) direct IT support experience
  • Basic PC troubleshooting and networking knowledge
  • Excellent virtual/phone presence and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with VMware, Remote Tools, Inventory/Asset Management preferred
  • Certifications in the following: Network+, A+, Microsoft or cisco etc. preferred
