Field Service Technician

Johnson Service Group is recruiting for an experienced, Field Service Technician, for a direct hire position based out of Nashville, TN or Eugene, OR.  This role will provide technical support for all system components including computer, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.  Candidates can expect up to 60% travel with a company credit card and reimbursable within company policies.

 

Our client is a leader in designing, manufacturing and installing optical sorting technology and provides cutting edge sorting solutions to the recycling industry.  THIS ROLE DOES NOT REQUIRE RESIDENCY IN NASHVILLE OR EUGENE.  PROXIMITY TO NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE OR EUGENE, OREGON IS PREFERRED.  (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provides superior and timely pre-sale and post-sale support to all customers worldwide while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the industry
  • Shared responsibility for service and warranty support, customer training, site inspections, customer expedited service and parts solutions for project installations
  • Remotely monitors systems to insure optimal product operations at customer sites through onsite and remote HMI interfaces
  • Troubleshoots computer, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults at customer locations
  • Provides in-depth pre-sale and post-sale support to end-users for the complete product line and systems. Interfaces with customers on-site to deliver product and service training
  • Assists with development and maintenance of technical documentation including operator’s manuals, service manuals and training materials
  • Provides feedback to R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing groups to improve product performance and serviceability
  • Provides warranty support and sells preventative maintenance programs and spare part packages
  • Documents all customer contacts and writes reports as needed
