Junior Control Systems Engineer, Upstate New York

We’re seeking a Junior Controls Engineer to serve on a contract with the City of New York, with potential conversion to permanent full-time employment upon completion of the project.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A two-year or four-year undergrad degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechatronics is desired, but an equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.

Two or more years of experience desired in SCADA Systems & PLC programming, including: ¡ Wonderware System Platform

¡ Modicon and Modicon Quantum PLCs

¡ Allen-Bradley Micrologic and SLC 500 PLCs

 

Highly valued domain experience: ¡ Water/Wastewater

 

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT

US citizen or permanent resident

Satisfactory background check

Pre-employment drug screen

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Local travel is required and out of state work may be necessary.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

SCADA support - enable scanning of I/O tags.

Test for correct data display on workstation displays including communications status.

Perform complete point-to-point testing of all I/O points.

Test for proper valve status display, precipitation recording display, and remote valve control in accordance with the control strategies defined in the specifications.

Migrate system from an older SCADA platform to Wonderware.
