 CYBER SECURITY ANALYST

Our client, a global financial services firm and a market leader in securities, asset management and credit services, is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant. Our client is enhancing its cybersecurity risk program as part of the second line of defense in operational risk. As part of this effort, our client will be assessing across first, second, and third line cybersecurity activities and building a plan for additional future investment and focus areas.

Required Skills:

  • Takes ownership of generating and maintaining monthly security metrics and reports
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, computer applications, IS security standards and network architecture.
  • Strong analytical proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SIEM Tools, Varonis, Sophos, Cyberark.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer forensics.
  • Knowledge of security hardening of desktops and servers.
  • Knowledge of VOIP security issues.
  • Experience with SMTP/TLS and E-mail filtering software
  • Ability to respond to information security incidents/tickets.
  • An understanding of DLP & BYOD policies and standards with the ability to contribute to the organization’s implementation and maintenance of these policies.
  • Running Vulnerability scans and helping resolve findings of tests.
  • Knowledge of Security Auditing procedures.


Preferred Skills:

  • Analyze Threat Management Intelligence Feed.
  • Scripting languages (i.e. Perl, Python, etc.)
  • Able to successfully interact with stakeholders at different organizational levels including senior management, budget owners, accountants, attorneys and auditors.
  • Able to perform independently and proactively.
  • Ability to address production issues effectively during periods of increased stress.
  • Vendor management.
