Job Description

Job Title: EHS Coordinator

Location: Belvidere, IL

Contract Term: 6 months

Shift - 2nd Job


This position is responsible to implement programs such as company BOS system to eliminate the risk of occupational injury and illness, and environmental non-compliance in manufacturing environment.

Spearhead specific actions to assure the plant complies with all federal, state and local environmental regulations and rules, including those related to occupational health and safety.

Conduct accident investigations and assists with determining root cause and resolution, conduct safety and hazard analysis, identify and facilitate appropriate and required training, lead member of plant safety committee,

Job Requirements


Associates Degree and minimum of 10yrs experience, or 4 yrs in occupational health, environmental management, or related field, E.g. industry experience, related experience, term

Notes: Looking for a focus in safety with an engineering slant Will be working off shift; likely 4p-4a

Lots of floor presence and problem solving Plant averages 200 employees per shift

Interview process - phone screen then in-person

Only 1 other person in department
