Food and Beverage Manager

 

The brand new ARCHER hotel in Redmond, Washington is looking for an extroverted and out-going Food and Beverage Manager to lead our Food and Beverage team and ensure we're delivering an exceptional culinary experience. We provide a team-oriented work environment that allows individual personality and opportunity for growth.

 

Job Summary:

You will manage/oversee the daily functions of ARCHER’s Kitchen and Bar, Kitchen and Meetings, and events. We need someone well versed in wine, food and high-end meetings and events.

The Food and Beverage Manager is a hands-on position that makes regular inspections to observe quality of food preparation and service, food appearance, cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas including kitchens, food preparation, dish washing, storage, service and other areas according to Brand specifications. He/she may assist with coordinating all training activities for the kitchen staff and service employees to include the identification and analysis of training needs. He/she will order supplies or help keep records and accounts. He/she will follow safe food handling and service practices and work closely with the sales staff to service guests, meeting rooms, events, catering, restaurants and bars. He/she will comply with any licensing or regulatory requirements.

Qualification Standards:

·         This is a working position providing hands on strategic and tactical leadership to the entire food and beverage department, including both back and front of the house operations.

·         Achieve profitability goals by driving revenues and controlling costs.

·         Assist in creating menus for restaurant and catering operations; provide creative direction for all menus.

·         Track record of successfully leading a culinary team (banquet and restaurant operations).

·         Solid knowledge of food and wine pairings.

·         High-end meetings and events experience.

·         Purchasing and Inventory controls.

 

 

Cook Experience/Education:

 

·         Fluent in English is required.

·         Food handling certificate in states or counties where required.

·         Must have valid driver’s license in the applicable state.

·         3-5 years progressive experience in a boutique hotel/restaurant and/or high-volume food production/catering.

·         Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

 

Hours of position

This job requires flexible scheduling and OPEN AVAILABILITY which includes working weekends and holidays and sometimes long hours.
