Must be able to demonstrate excellent Clinical assessment skills and have the ability to teach these skills to facility’s partners utilizing the principles of Adult Learning. Coordination of clinical competency assessment and training needs of clinical staff, based on ongoing evaluation, patient needs and acuity.
Develops and coordinates the infection prevention and control program throughout the facility. Implements the program by formulating, establishing and evaluating policies and procedures relating to patient care infection control measures throughout the facility. Performs an annual assessment and develops action plans from the prior year activities.
Provides relevant and creative education for clinical staff on a variety of topics focused on development of Clinical Skills, Critical thinking, and Interpersonal skills of Partners, including the initial competency assessment of Clinical staff during orientation process, annually and as needed.
Must have a current, active license as a Registered Nurse; CPR Instructor desirable.
May be required to work beyond normal working hours on weekends and holidays
as necessary and may be subject to callback during any emergency.
