Job Description

  Job Description : Essential Job Functions:
Our rapidly growing Electronics Manufacturing Support Team located in the scenic Vergennes, Vermont area is in need of Manufacturing Engineer to Audit Suppliers where their injection molding tooling is utilized. This support will help ensure quality, delivery and compliance of Injection Molded Components.

  • You will need the background and expertise to Perform Audits as required per Quality Management System of Injection Molding Tooling.
  • Create evaluation criteria and checklist (Approved by our Customer)
  • Criteria: Tooling maintenance program, tool storage, mold wear (dimensional & surface), die closure/function, etc.
  • Analyzes Supplier Requests for Information (SRI) and Quality Notification (QN) Data to prioritize supplier audits by value.
  • Work with suppliers to determine mutually agreeable corrective actions that resolve current and future QNs based on current and projected tool wear.
  • Correspond with suppliers to schedule visits and finalize action items. Escalate as required.
  • Maintain audit schedules & plan
  • Provide weekly status reports on your accomplishments and Challenges
  • Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
Work Location: Vergennes, Vermont, at various Customer product suppliers, and on-site as required. This includes 20-50% Travel Customer Suppliers. Suppliers’ are regional to East Coast USA.

  • Associates Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing (or on the job equivalence) or higher, Engineering related field.
  • 1-3 years or more of relevant work experience (HEAVY Manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Familiar with standard project management tools and database functions, SAP required
  • Ability to learn new software and ramp up quickly.
Specialized knowledge and skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Shipping/Receiving activity and procedures.
  • Compliance with all Export Control policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated history of appropriately handling confidential and private data.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Demonstration/Evidence of Leadership examples required during interview
  • Prefer experience within Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologies
  • Education Required, Minimum of Associates of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering, (preference above in Requirements)
  • Experience using Software Databases preferred
  • High level or intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Excel, Access are required
  • Moderate proficiency or ability to gain it in PowerPoint, SharePoint, SAP, Solumina, AutoTime and Excel are extremely beneficial to success

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Mostly Office Environments.  Occasional Shop Floor involvement
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work. 
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet occasional business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks
